Choose from nominal 30, 35, 40, 45 and 52 dB acoustic grades. Thicker door leaves support higher specified grades; the frame, perimeter seals, threshold and installation details matter just as much to the completed opening.
| Nominal option | Door leaf | Practical expectation* | Typical starting point |
|---|---|---|---|
| 30 dB | 70 mm | Helps soften ordinary voices and corridor activity; speech may remain understandable. | Internal offices, light-use rooms |
| 35 dB | 70 mm | Noticeably lowers conversational noise; loud speech may still be heard. | Meeting rooms, podcast rooms with modest noise |
| 40 dB | 90 mm | Improves speech privacy; raised voices can remain faint or indistinct. | Conference rooms, home cinemas, livestream rooms |
| 45 dB | 90 mm | Stronger isolation for speech and moderate program audio; loud bass still needs whole-room design. | Broadcast suites, recording rooms, entertainment rooms |
| 52 dB | 110 mm | High isolation target for demanding rooms; speech is typically hard to discern when the full enclosure is detailed well. | Professional studios, KTV, screening and performance spaces |
*These are general selection guides, not promised on-site reductions. The figures are nominal product options in dB; request the test report for the exact door assembly, size, glazing and hardware before specifying STC or a guaranteed result. Flanking paths through walls, ceilings, ducts and gaps can dominate on-site performance. Low-frequency bass is especially difficult to control.

A round or rectangular observation window supports visual coordination. Confirm its tested acoustic construction with the selected grade.
40–45 dB is a useful discussion point for typical rooms. For elevated playback levels and bass, assess the wall and ventilation system too.
Review 45–52 dB options and the complete sealing package for high-output venues and adjacent guest spaces.
35–40 dB options suit many meeting areas; higher grades may be appropriate when confidential speech or noisy corridors are involved.
Door face: flat, uninterrupted panel or integrated observation window. Window shape: round or rectangular. Other choices: single or double leaf, color, frame style, handing and hardware, subject to engineering review. A window, lock cutout or other change can affect the acoustic rating; approve the final assembly before manufacture.

| Product | Custom acoustic / soundproof door set |
|---|---|
| Nominal acoustic options | 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 52 dB; verify the exact tested configuration |
| Leaf thickness | 70 mm (30 / 35 dB); 90 mm (40 / 45 dB); 110 mm (52 dB) |
| Finish | Solid color, wood grain, upholstered; project colors by agreement |
| Vision panel | None, round or rectangular; acoustic glazing details to be confirmed |
| Configuration | Single or double leaf; size, opening direction, frame and hardware customized |
| Sealing | Perimeter seals and threshold treatment selected for the project |
| Use | Interior acoustic separation; environmental and fire requirements must be specified separately |
Acoustic treatment is a system: a good leaf alone cannot compensate for an unsealed threshold, weak surrounding wall or open ventilation path.
Include quantities, opening sizes, wall thickness, chosen dB option, finish, window style and project location. We can review the door configuration and prepare a quotation.
